Sha Fei is the pioneer of the journalistic photography in China. He has photographed many documentary and war-time photos, including Wars on the ancient Great Wall, Nei Rongzhen and the Japanese Little Girl and the Final Pictures of Mr. Lu Xun etc.

As a giant in the history of Chinese photography, he has left more than 1,200 photos within his short life. Most of his photos are about the wartime in China, which are seen as the valuable treasure of history. He is also considered as the milestone of the period of national liberation in Chinese modern history.
