The Shaolin Monastery or Shaolin Temple is a Chan Buddhist temple at Song Shan near Zhengzhou City Henan Province in Dengfeng, China. Founded in the 5th century, the monastery is long famous for its association with Chinese martial arts and particularly with Shaolin Kung Fu, and it is the Mahayana Buddhist monastery perhaps best known to the Western world.

There are many schools of martial arts near Shaolin Temple. Many children are sent to those schools to learn Shaolin Kungfu. Some of them want to be Kungfu masters like those in the movies. Some want to be a star of martial art movies. Others just simply think that they won’t be bullied if they know kungfu.

In the schools, children are trained hard. Instructors teach them strictly in every detail movement. Children have to practice basic skills everyday to do better in some complicated actions. As to daily life, except those who are too young to take care of themselves, all other children have to do their own things independently. They will get stronger in both body and mind.
