The entire shooting sports events for the 2008 Summer Paralympics will also be held at this venue.
Construction of the venue started in July, 2004 and was completed in July, 2007. The venue covers a total surface area of 45,645 square meters and has a seating capacity for 8,600 spectators, with 2,170 permanent seats and 6,430 removable seats.
The Beijing Shooting Range Hall was designed to reflect the shape of a hunting bow. The Shooting Hall's qualification competition halls and the final competition hall are connected by the venue's main entrance, which contributes to the venue's bow-shaped entrance.
