The Laoshan Mountain Bike Course is a mountain bike cycling venue located in western Beijing, China next to the Laoshan Velodrome. The course will host the mountain bike competitions of the 2008 Summer Olympics.
Its renovation and expansion program began in May 2006 and completed in the second half of 2007. The project involves a competition course of 4.6 kilometers in circle, a fixed building with a floor space of 8,275 square meters, a temporary spectator stand that will seat 2,000 and other temporary facilities for competitions.
The project becomes a training base for the Chinese cycling team and will also be open to the public once the Games are over.
