The Olympic Green Tennis Center located in the Olympic Green in Beijing was completed in October 2007 for the 2008 Summer Olympics, where it will host the tennis preliminaries and finals of singles and doubles for men and women and the Paralympic Wheelchair Tennis competitions for tennis at the 2008 Summer Olympics.
The tennis center covers a floor space of 26,514 square meters. The center has 10 competition courts and six training courts, with a capacity of 17,400 seats. The main court, No.1 and No.2 courts are uniquely shaped; they look like flowers from a distance. Several pieces of ventilation equipment were installed at the petal-shaped stands of the court to take in fresh air. Circulation facilities then release the air through vents located all around the court, lowering both the temperature of the court and the stands.
