Beijing Workers' Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Chaoyang District of north-eastern Beijing. It is mostly used for football (soccer) matches. The stadium was built in 1959 and was renovated to host the football quarter-finals and semi-finals of the 2008 Olympics. It currently has a capacity of 64,000. It is one of the Ten Great Buildings constructed in 1959 for the 10th anniversary of China. The stadium was the main venue for the 1990 Asian Games. Beijing Workers' Gymnasium is nearby to the west.
